New Found Passion

I've known about Polaroid for some time. Used it during photo school in the studio, used Type 55 film in large format cameras and even in pinholes. It wasn't until I found an old Land Camera that belonged to my grandmother in my parents basement did I begin to wonder about the possibilities. I searched the house for old Polaroids from my parents era and was amazed, not only at the nostagia of the images, but the quality had a certain something usual and unique to it. The camera that my grandmother had was not so great so I went to the local antique store and found a better camera. Used it to my hearts desire. Some of my polaroids have been my best sellers. Power to the Polaroid!! Then just recently a few years ago Polaroid filed for Section 11 and my new found passion crumbled as soon as it began. All those who are disgruntled, fear not. Fuji has recently picked up the slack and produces a "Polaroid pack film", that in my opinion replaces and surpasses the quality of the old polaroid films. And as far as I know Fuji will continue to produce this film for all die hard Pola-nerds out there. My new discovery sparkles once again with delight. Now if only they would pick up the slack and produce the 600 and the Type 55 film that I love so dearly. My life would be renewed once again.
